Mystery Plants Spreading in Lake Murray Coves and What the Carp are Doing About it.

Live on Lake Murray? Have you boated on the lake recently? You may have noticed a lot of native aquatic plants on the shoreline. Much of this vegetation, southern naiad, is a primary food source for some of the waterfowl and invertebrates that call Lake Murray home. The triploid grass carp, stocked to control the hydrilla, will, on occasion eat southern naiad when hydrilla is not available. Are they doing their job? How many carp are in Lake Murray?
