Holiday Tips: How to Prep Your Home for Pets

While you are busy getting your home ready for family and friends, don’t forget to prep your home for your pets and any furry visitors. Here are a few tips from Southern Paws & Tails magazine. Click to read the full article.

  • Food – keep foods such as turkey, ham, chocolate, nuts, and candy away from dogs and cats
  • Decorations – make sure decorations, nativity scenes, and other decor cannot be easily knocked over by your 4-legged friends. If you choose to use real candles, ensure tails, wings, and other pet parts cannot get close to the flame and get singed.
  • Potty Breaks – In all the excitement don’t forget to let pets out for a potty break, or just a breather from all the extra excitement.
  • Travel – If traveling with your fur-baby, make a list – and check it twice. Make sure you have all needed medication, toys, and other needed supplies.
